The majority of pupils coming to Oak Lodge have to travel some distance, due to the fact that our catchment area covers the South West of Hampshire. Pupils transfer at the age of 11 from special and mainstream primary schools and sometimes at a later stage from secondary schools.
Each pupil entering Oak Lodge has a Statement of Special Educational Needs prepared by the Authority. This statement describes each child’s special needs and the provision necessary to meet those needs. The statement is reviewed each year and amended when necessary. Statements will be changing in September 2014 to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The Local Assessment Placement and Advisory Group (LAPAG) are responsible for placing pupils at Oak Lodge School.
