Personal Development is an umbrella term used by Oak Lodge School to cover the subjects of Personal Health and Social Education (PSHE), Careers, Citizenship and Personal Finance Education. PSHE includes Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) which is a statutory obligation for maintained schools. Lessons will be appropriate for children’s needs and level of understanding and some topics will be taught in conjunction with other subjects particularly Drama, Mathematics, Science, Food Technology and Physical Education. Personal Development is considered central to everything that the child experiences at school.
