Welcome to our clubs page, please see below to learn more
Run by our librarian every lunchtime, this club allows pupils to read, do seasonal crafts, play board games, relax in a calm environment, or participate in small group activities to promote their creative and social skills.
Run everyday, Pupils in Years 10 and 11 can use their break and lunch times to catch up with their Art and Textiles coursework, or have one to one support and mentoring with the Art teacher. Pupils from other years are welcome on some days to work on individual projects.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays in the D&T room, pupils can work on Project Airfix, a starting point for schools from the Airfix company in which the school receives 15 kits of one easy model (a small plane), and all the paints and equipment necessary to complete them. Pupils can work individually or in small teams to work on their project. When the model is complete, pupils can choose other models of varying skills to build and paint.
This runs on Mondays and Wednesdays in the D&T room, and gives pupils the opportunity to finish projects from their D&T lessons, or work on individual projects using the skills learned in lessons at a more autonomous level.
This club only runs on Tuesdays in Summer months. Up to 10 pupils go to Beaulieu river and learn to canoe. The club is taken by two members of staff and an instructor from Beaulieu Activities.
This club runs on Wednesdays, and gives the pupils the opportunity to try a multitude of different activities (3 or 4 each week) that they might not ordinarily have the chance to try otherwise, from football to ultimate frisbee. Activities are a mixture of individual and team sports, and are taken by one member of staff and a qualified Multi-Sports instructor at Applemore Leisure Centre.
This club is run by two members of staff on Thursdays. Activities include swimming, bowling, eating out, cinema, and activities at Calshot Activity Centre such as rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding and archery.
