Year 6 Transition Pupils - September 2020
Starting School in September
Important Update (30/6/20)
We are so looking forward to seeing our new Year 7’s next term and we have designated Monday 7th September as Year 7 Transition Day – we are currently awaiting government guidance to finalise our plans, which we will then be able to share with you.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Dear Parents and Carers
We hope you and your families safe and well and would like to assure you that we are looking forward to welcoming your child to Oak Lodge School in September 2020.
In the current situation we are unable to offer our usual transition visits to new pupils and are waiting for Government guidance about when it is safe to return to school. However, please see our slide show which will help familiarise your child with the school.
You should have already received your Pupil Information Pack which contains everything you may need, together with a variety of forms for you to complete and return. To assist our colleagues in transport we would be grateful if you could complete the Transport Form if appropriate, and send to school by return post to ensure this can be organised before the end of the current academic year. The Local Authority will advise you directly, usually during the summer holidays, of the transport arrangements which have been put in place for your child.
In the present circumstances the recruitment of a new Headteacher for September has been postponed, but I am delighted to announce that I am able to hand over the running of the school to my very experienced Deputy, Mrs Karen Brown, who will be Acting Headteacher.
If you have any queries Jo Wright our Assistant Head and SENDCo will be pleased to help, contact her at email@example.com
