Head Pupils
Each year the pupil body is led and represented by our Head Pupils.
In the summer term of Year 10, pupils wishing to stand are invited to write a letter of application to the Headteacher who in turn interviews all of the candidates.
Pupils are supported to canvas the school population, the entire school community then will have the opportunity to vote on 'Polling Day'. The successful Pupils with the most votes will be invited to lead the senior team as the 'Head Pupils'.
This entire process is designed to give, not only those involved, but the entire school cohort a deeper understanding of democracy and the voting system in the UK as preparation for adult life.
Each pupil will hold office for the year, supporting leaders, helping to lead the Pupil Parliament and listening to and voicing pupil opinions.
