A warm welcome to Oak Lodge School
Oak Lodge Specialist Arts College is a secondary school for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities located in the New Forest. Our nurturing and therapeutic learning environment caters for students with a range of needs including Autistic Spectrum Condition; social, communication and sensory needs; severe, moderate and specific learning difficulties and mental health needs.
The school promotes the Vision for our pupils as Outstanding Achievement and Knowledge for Life and we work hard to ensure that all our pupils are well prepared to take the next steps towards adulthood, independent living and employment.
Our staff are dedicated, caring and experienced in supporting students aged 11 to 16 to achieve personalised targets which will result in equipping them for life beyond the school and their next stage of education, training or employment. This expertise, coupled with a broad, rich curriculum, as well as a highly engaging specialist arts programme supports our students well to embed the key skills of communication, reading, writing, maths and independence.
Ofsted found that Oak Lodge School “place a high value on developing each pupil as an individual, equipping them with skills for the future. Pupils’ personal development is a strength of the school and contributes strongly to academic success. Positive learning behaviours result from high-quality relationships between pupils and all staff.”
